ABOUT THE FUND

The Vladislav Tretiak International Sports Academy Fund is a non-profit organization, with the aim of creating, nurturing and developing international sports initiatives in Russia, specifically around the tradition of Russian hockey.

The funds main charitable initiatives
include the following:

Raising money in order to support several key charitable organizations. A main driver of this are the Funds annual charity auction events, business outreach programs into Saratov, Ulyansk and other parts of Russia, as well as an ongoing effort to attract key sponsors and partners for the funds programs.

Monies raised are used to support childrens homes and orphanage projects, hospitals, retirement centers, libraries, rehabilitation clinics as well as Russian adaptive sports associations. The Fund works closely with Russian Paralympic initiatives, donating training and competitive equipment for the association.

The Fund also organizes the Vladislav Tretiak Cup, an annual international children and youth hockey tournament. The aim of this event is to maintain awareness of hockey in Russia, to develop the sport amongst its youth and to identify talent throughout Russia for further advancement in the sport. Participants in the tournament include youth clubs from Moscow, Russias regions as well as U.S., Canada, Czech Republic, Hungary, Finalnd, and other nations. The tournament receives regular interest and coverage in the press, and its sponsors enjoy prominent placement in all event related materials.
